Hi,

i'm just looking for an alternative for whmcs..

we use ispconfig3, i can see the ispconfig server manager is not working correctly.. that's not a problem… our developer thinks he can fix that easily.

however having looked at server manager add new server part in the fossbilling interface.. it asks for the username / password to connect to every new server.

so i want to double check. does this expect every ispconfig server to be a full standalone instance, running every service, plus the ispconfig interface.. or can we still use it for ispconfig multi-server..

eg 1 ispconfig3 server running the ispconfig3 interface and api.

2 ispconfig3 servers running only dns

1 ispconfig3 server running only postfix / mailserver

3 ispconfig3 servers running apache and mysql

where all account/config changes are all applied via the api on the main ispconfig3 server.

and if that can be done, how exactly do we add/configure each server in fossbilling?

So, the ISPConfig 3 server manager is quite old and predates FOSSBilling, so none of the current team members have actually used it.
With that being said, FOSSBilling server managers are pretty generic in functionality and FOSSBilling isn't really capable of taking advantage of control-panel specific functionality. So, I would assume it does indeed only work on the assumption that each server is completely standalone
