Greetings!

I just logged into a FOSSBilling instance where I have a web hosting account. I logged in to create a support ticket. The support ticket was created successfully, and the ticket creation confirmation email was received.

It's been awhile, maybe going on a year, since I last logged into this FOSSBilling instance. 

I was really surprised because the panel seemed to be MUCH faster than a year ago! I saw practically instant response every time I clicked anything.

Did something change in the source code to make FOSSBilling MUCH faster since last year? If yes, what changed?

You got me curious so I took a look at our change..

Unless you last used a version older than 0.6.0 (when the Client area got upgraded to Boostrap 5 and a lot of optimizations were added to FOSSBilling), there weren't any changes made with the expectation of improved performance.

Unless the speed difference is from something with the server itself, I'd guess the difference you noticed is either from:
A) One of the many PHP deprecation errors that got resolved.
B) Performance improvements in dependency updates.
C) You simply have internet that's performing better now.

Outside of that.. really not sure what would have caused the perceived speed of FOSSBilling to improve significantly.
