Over the last handful of weeks the forum slowly became full of many spam accounts and as of a result, spam posts.
I spent some time going through them and purge 61 accounts from the forum, bringing it back to a "spam-free" state.
Some additional measures have been implemented to help keep spam to a minimum, with the most noticeable addition being hCaptcha on the registration page.
We've also changed the default theme on the forum and allowed users to pick between a handful of choices:
- Curves UI: The default theme. It's one of the more modern free themes available for MyBB and works quite well
- Inspired (Dark): A modification of the Curves UI theme that was built for dark mode
- BootBB: The previews default theme for the FOSSBilling forum.
- MyBB: The theme that MyBB ships with. Very dated, but also very simple
Hopefully these updates help improve the experience of using the forum.
